God's Judgments are Just

"For if we continue to practice sin on purpose after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries." Hebrews 10:26-27

Do you have trouble agreeing with God’s judgments against the wicked? Does it make you uncomfortable to tell a sinner that if he does not repent God will pronounce the judgment of Hell upon him? Do you have trouble understanding why God will not just forgive everyone, even those who refuse to repent and obey Him?

Let’s stop and consider our personal lives and the world we live in. Every bad experience you have ever had was caused by sin in the world.

All sickness, all injuries, all accidents, all betrayals and relationship problems are a result of sin. All wars and their horrible atrocities are a result of sin in the world. Children are molested and women are beaten because of sin in the world. The animals have become predator and prey because sin came into the world. The devil was once a beautiful and honored Angel in God’s Court, yet sin turned him into an evil adversary. When this happened he caused war to reach Heaven itself.

When you think about the Kingdom of Heaven you might recall how there will be no war, no death and pain, no more suffering, only pleasures forevermore. We are promised peace and joy and the restoration of the animal kingdom which has suffered terribly under the curse. But what would Heaven become if God allowed sinners to bring their sin in? Well, it wouldn’t be Heaven at all, would it?

God gave His only Son to save all who would repent of sin and receive Him as their Lord and Savior. He has done all He can do. He has given the greatest gift possible and there is no other sacrifice left for sin. God desires all to repent and be saved, but everyone must decide for himself whether he will choose Heaven or Hell. It is an act of love to destroy the disobedient and keep Heaven free from the impact of sin. God has already chosen to keep Heaven, heavenly.
